I don't think so. My Davis family was from Snow Hill which is on the Atlantic Coast. Hagerstown is inland quite a ways.

Unless, he moved to Hagerstown as an adult.

Do you have any parentage for him?

Isaac Davis

Catherine Donelson was the daughter of Rev. SAMUEL DAVIS, a Presbyterian minister of Snow Hill, Somerset (nor Worcester) county, Maryland. Mr. DAVIS was also a physician. Her mother was perhaps MARY, who was the widow of Robert Simpson, before she married Mr. DAVID. These facts will be shown by the following references. Note: The Presbyterian Historical Society Journal, in an article by its able Secretary, Rev. Joseph R. Turner, states that Rev. SAMUEL DAVID was the first pastor of Makemie Memorial Presbyterian Shurch at Snow Hill, Maryland; that no record can be found of Mr.David in Maryland before 1684, but that he was at Snow Hill from 1884-1697. Mr. Turner also states that Mr. DAVIS was a member of the first Presbytery in America, and his name, with other members of that presbytery, is recorded on a memorial tablet in the First Presbyterian Church in Philadelphia. The first reference in the civil records of Somerset county is that on p. 16, of Vol. D,B, I, K, L, where Rev. SAMUEL DAVIS is mentioned as a minister. On Sept 18, 1684 he receives a patent for 500 acres called "Inch". The June 10, 1687, SAMUEL DAVIS, of Somerset, Minister, buys of William Round of Somerset, Mcht, and wf Martha, 167 acres part of an original patent called "Mulberry Grove," for 3500 lbs tobacco, the tract now being called "Grove." The Nove 17, 1702, SAMLL DAVIS conveys to Mr. Ephraim Heather, his "stock of hoggs, marked left ear with a swallow fork, right ear hole," belong to the plantatin called "Gove. There's information on DAVID formerly of Somerset moved to Lewis Town, in the Territories of Penna and Mary, his now wife nothing into Ohio

No. My Isaac Davis was born 30 Aug 1823 in Maryland, probably Hagerstown. His parents are said to be John and Margaret (Ryan) Davis but I have no sure proof.

I have an Isaac Davis born in Westchester county (Tarrytown NY) about 1818-1820. I think his father also was Isaac. He moved to NJ about 1845.
