Hadfields of 1870 Census

In the 1879 Census there are a number of
Hadfields living Kings County NY (just west
of Brooklyn).
1.Burrows Hadfield 1860 1870
2.Ellen Hadfield
3.George Hadfield b. 22 Aug 1830 d
22 March 1881 in Fall River, Mass.
4.Sarah Hadfield
5.Alfred Hadfield
all from 5W Brooklyn Kings County NYC.

I am almost positive that the George is of
the line that moved to Fall River, MA. He had long been rumored to have lived in NYC before moving to Fall River. Also living with them is a Margaret Webster, who if the same, married James Gillibrand (from England)and whose daughter Mary married James Hadfield (grandson of English James) 30 May 1897. The rest of the Hadfield listed must be family as they all lived in the same location. In fact Burrows may have been an older brother as he appears ten years earlier (1860) than the rest.
Has any Hadfield researchers followed up any
of these lines. I have thoroughly researched the George line. If I am correct these are the children of James (b~1805) and Mary Hadfield (daughter of a Jonathan and Mary (no last name)of Dukinfield England.
I look forward to any response on this.
Ken

G'day Kenton

I have not been able to link anyone you speak of so far but I keep checking as I am continually finding more Dukinfield Hadfields. Have you viewed the 1881 census for Dukinfield? If not, I have extracted all the Hadfields and have them on file should you require.

I have come across a Benjamin Hadfield, married to Annie C Lord, both born 1885 in Fall River. Benjamin's parents, Benjamin G and Mary Livingstone. Benjamin G's parents, Peter and Jane Gee.

Annie C Lord was adopted by my gg grandparents John Lord and Catherine Harrison, after her parents passed I would think.

My father tells me Benjamin was an FBI agent. Rings any bells?

Benjamin Hadfield and wife Mary Livingston(e) were both born in England. I don't know where. They married in Fall River, Mass Aug 13, 1873.

Benjamin was a mail clerk. I think in later years I saw him listed as postmaster, not FBI.

Any info on Benjamin or wife Mary, Benjamin's parents, Peter and Jane, would be appreciated.

This is not the case I have proven the line otherwise.

Hello,
It's been awhile, but just came across your post above. I'm not sure if you are referring to my post regarding Benjamin Hadfield and his wife Annie Lord and their ancestors. If you were referring to my post, could you elaborate on what you have otherwise proven?
