My grandmother heard about my interest in my roots some time ago and sent me a newspaper page that was in the Carillon (a newspaper? in Steinbach, Man.). It has pictures of couples that were married 25, 50 and 60 years prior to the published year (March 28, 1990). I have pictures and brief descriptions of the following people:

Marcien Emond & Lucienne Gregoire (married on July 1, 1940 in La Broquerie);
Leandre Laurin & Agnes Emond (also married on July 1, 1940 in La Broquerie);
Bernhard Doerksen & Marie Barkman (married on April 20, 1930 in Satanta, Kansas);
Dietrich Warkentin & Katie Janzen(married on Oct. 9, 1930 'in the Schonfelder Mennonite Church at Pigeon Lake');
William Kischuk & Mary Bielinski(married in Vita on July 15, 1930).

Personally, I'm only interested in the Emond or Gregoire line, but perhaps the other stuff in this clipping can help someone else.
If you're interested, simply email me what you are looking for and I'll help you out if I can.

I don't appear to have your individuals, but offer the following for your information:

NEUFELD Family - First Generation
1. 1 i. Abram NEUFELD (#1037). He married Anna WIEBE (#1036). Anna was born December 5, 1876. Anna was the daughter of Johann WIEBE and Margaretha FUNK.

NEUFELD Family - First Generation
1 i. Aganetha NEUFELD (#726) was born in Russia February 2, 1835. Some records show her birth date as 01/20/1835 (Julian?). Aganetha was baptized in June 5, 1854 in Russia. Aganetha died September 29, 1919 Neuanlage (Gretna), MB, at 84 years of age. She married David Anton SCHELLENBERG (#198) in Russia, June 9, 1855. David was born in Russia February 28, 1832. Some records show his birth date as 02/16/1832 (Julian?). David was the son of Anton Gerhard (REIMER) SCHELLENBERG and Margaretha (Katharina) DOERKSEN. David died August 11, 1911 in Gretna, Manitoba, at 79 years of age. David was baptized in June 5, 1852 in Russia. (See David Anton SCHELLENBERG for the continuation of this line.)

NEUFELD Family - First Generation
1. 1 i. Mary NEUFELD (#310) was born November 28, 1919. Another source shows her birthdate as 28 November 1914. Mary died May 16, 1993 at 73 years of age. She married Heinrich (Henry) SCHELLENBERG (#134) on July 31, 1943. Heinrich was born Neuanlage, Gretna, MB October 13, 1902. Heinrich was the son of David SCHELLENBERG and Anna FRIESEN. Heinrich died January 25, 1980 Flin Flon, Manitoba, at 77 years of age. (See Heinrich (Henry) SCHELLENBERG for the continuation of this line.)

NEUFELD Family - First Generation
1. 1 i. Johan NEUFELD (#1322) was born Krebsfeld, Elbing, West Prussia 1770. Johan died after 1808 in Blumstein, Molotschna, Russia. He married twice. He married Maria WULF (1767) about 1790. Maria died 1805 in Blumstein, Molotschna, Russia. He married Anna SCHELLENBERG (#241) in Molotschna, Russia, 1803. Anna was born in Pletzendorf, West Prussia March 8, 1782. Anna was the daughter of Gerhard Gerhard SCHELLENBERG and Helena GUENTHER. Anna died after 1808. This marriage is based on conjecture, as all of Gerhard's children are shown as having migrated to Russia in 1803. In the 1808
census, Anna (age 26) was not recorded as living at home, but a 26-year old Anna is shown as Johann's second wife.

7 v. Justina NEUFELD (#1771) was born in Blumstein, Molotschna, Russia after 1808. Justina died in Blumstein, Molotschna, Russia. Apparently, Justina died a terrible death, screaming and convulsing for 2 days and 3 nights, foaming at the mouth. She married Jakob LOEWEN (#1785).

Aaron NEUFELD (#2288) andKatharina REGIER (#2289) had four children. You have three listed. The third child listed as Katharina was always known as Bertha. The fourth child that is not listed is Herbert C. Neufeld, born in Reedley, California, June 30, 1910. He died in Tacoma, Washington on Sunday February 24, 2002. I'm his daughter Debra Jane Countryman (Neufeld), born March 6, 1956. Frankly, I'm annoyed that with all the research Bob Strong has done that he has never corrected any information regarding my family, even though I have repeatedly informed him.
