      <description>Hi! &lt;br&gt;My surname is Clerk too.(from Ghana) My great great grandfather was a black missionary from Jamaica. I believe he was the descendant of the Scottish John Clerk. Maybe his ancestor was a slave of a slave master named Clerk. Could you please give me some more info! Thanks! </description>

      <description>I have no information on this unknown huisband I am searching for.  In fact, the only things I know are:&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;He married Marie AFTER the 1920 census.&lt;br&gt;They divorced BEFORE the 1930 census.&lt;br&gt;Marie was living in D.C. in 1930 and working as a secretary for a congressman.  She remarried later to B. Frank Murphy and later to Dr. John Orem, surviving both of them.  She and Mr. Clerk had no children.</description>
