Thanks Satch, you are always so helpful. Actually I guess I wasn't very clear in my post. Orval was born around 1904 and I can find him and my Grandfather in Dutton on the 1911 census for the Dutton area. It was in his 20's where he became known in Skunks Misery and where he was caught again after escaping from jail. Strangly enough, I recently came across an article in the Leamington Post in 1939 where my Grandfather AND my great uncle (my grandmothers brother) were arrested in Skunks Misery after being holed up for two weeks there(they stole a car)! It's also strange because both my Grandfather and my Great(Grand) uncle served in the Military after that. I wonder how they got into the Military with a record. My Grandfather died a couple of years before I was born and I lived with my Sweet Granny from the time I was 12 and she never mentioned it. I did find another mention of Orval in an article with says he married a woman named Minnie Harris who I think was from around the Newbury area. After that I find no more mention of him or her anywhere. In my grandfathers obit notice from 1960 it mentioned Orval living in Newbury. My Grandmother still has one surviving sister, I guess I'll be paying a visit to her to see what she knows.
Thanks again for trying to help
PS...I think I'll stay away from Skunks Misery...it seems to be rough on the Shaw family! lol
